The last few months have been excruciatingly difficult for me. I’m hoping this fresh set of 365 has some easier days, and that it is good for anyone who reads this.
Monday evening, to cheer me up, a good friend who recently moved back to L.A. invited me to a movie. Unfortunately, Children of Men is the most depressing film I’ve ever seen, I think. I’ve only seen one other film by this director, and this is no Y tu mamá también, by far. Its message of hope, if there is one, is lost in a sea of gray bleak fog – almost literally. I can recommend it for some fairly good performances, or if you’re just feeling too happy right now. In truth, it helped me a little bit, as I realized once again that no matter how heavy the inner anguish is, there are always people out there suffering physically, through no fault of their own. The torments of the mind may be viscious and cruel, but can usually be overcome with time, patience, and calm.

Yea, I read the synopsis for that movie. It sounded terribly depressing! ugh.
Hope you’re doing well and making things better for yourself.
